Structural Engineering

We provide all aspects of structural engineering services from feasibility studies and conceptual design to detailed design and construction engineering services for new structures and assessment, rehabilitation and upgrade of existing structures. Our experience includes concrete, steel, timber and aluminum structures. We are well-versed in pile-supported, floating, and gravity-base structures. 

Performance-Based Seismic Design

We help with performance-based seismic design, dynamic analysis, and seismic soil-structure interaction analysis of transportation structures. We assist with determining the seismic performance criteria and analysis methodology, and provide the know-how for execution and verification of dynamic analysis results.

Risk Assessment

We apply risk assessment methods for evaluation of seismic risk, and risk ranking for prioritization of rehabilitation and retrofit of ageing structures. This provides decision makers with invaluable risk-benefit insight for informed decision making to maximize value of investment by maximizing risk reduction. 

Ship Collision Risk Assessment

As part of larger teams, our principal has led probabilistic vessel collision risk and force assessment for major bridge projects in Greater Vancouver. We help with identifying the collision scenarios and providing probabilistic estimates of collision risks and forces. We devise risk mitigation strategies and help with estimating the risk reduction.
